Colour Exploration
Exploring colour is an essential area of learning as it can help develop:
Verbal communication and descriptive language: When children can understand colour, it gives them to power to describe the world around them and discuss preferences.
Health and safety understanding: Colours are often used as signposting, for example red can mean something is hot or there is danger.
Categorising and sorting ability: If children understand different colour attributes they can then sort and classify objects based on these, helping to support an understanding of early mathematics.
We design and distribute a wide range of resources designed to improve colour recognition, colour matching and colour mixing in the early years.
